Children are ‘ready, respectful and safe’ at Spratton Primary School, says Ofsted

Spratton Church of England Primary School is delighted to announce it has been rated as 'Good' across all areas following a recent Ofsted inspection.

Lead inspector Kirsty Norbury praised the school’s strong Christian values and highlighted pupils' exemplary behaviour, describing them as ‘ready, respectful and safe’.

Ofsted commended the school’s teaching of reading, noting children in Reception learn to read promptly and become confident readers.

Pupils reported feeling safe and valued, with bullying described as rare and adults responsive to concerns.

Head of School Rebecca Dunkley expressed pride in achieving the rating and outlined plans to further develop the school’s offerings and community connections.

Executive Headteacher Liz Crofts thanked staff for their dedication, emphasising the school’s strong community roots and positive environment for children.

Plans include the recent launch of a breakfast club and upcoming after-school club in September 2023.

Well done Spratton on this outstanding achievement!
