Cottingham CofE Primary School Receives Glowing Ofsted Report

A huge congratulations to Cottingham CofE Primary School for achieving a 'good' rating in its recent Ofsted inspection, conducted in March.

The report praised Cottingham for its ambition in nurturing pupils and highlighted behaviour management as a significant strength. Lead inspector Luella Manssen commended the school, noting, "Cottingham is a joyful and nurturing environment with a strong community spirit. A pupil shared, ‘There is always something exciting happening here. It's not just lessons; this week, we had a PTFA candy floss sale for charity.’"

Manssen emphasised the school's commitment to inclusivity, stating, "The school is ambitious for all its pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). It values holistic development, carefully planning enriching experiences such as educational trips and guest visits."

The report further praised the school's 'ambitious' lesson planning, describing it as well-led and managed. It highlighted the strong foundation provided to children in reception, ensuring they are well-prepared for Key Stage 1, with a particular focus on early reading.

As a Trust, we take great pride in Cottingham's achievements and appreciate their dedication to supporting one another.
