St Luke’s CE Primary School Supporting Pupils to Be ‘Ambitious, Confident Citizens’, Says Ofsted
Staff and pupils at St Luke’s CE Primary School are celebrating a highly positive Ofsted report that praises the school for helping pupils become “ambitious, confident citizens.”
Inspectors visited the school in early March for a two-day assessment, exploring all areas of school life. This included subject deep-dives, observing pupils’ behaviour and interactions, and speaking with school leaders, Trust representatives, parents, and pupils.
St Luke’s was judged to be ‘Good’ across all inspection categories. Pastoral care was noted as a particular strength, with inspectors describing the school as a “caring, nurturing and happy school” that “welcomes everyone.”
The report also praised:
- The school’s “high expectations of pupils”, which help them achieve well.
- A “broad, ambitious and engaging” curriculum.
- Reading as a whole-school priority, backed by a well-organised reading curriculum and an effective phonics programme.
- Strong support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), who are swiftly identified and well supported to access enrichment and learning opportunities.
- A range of workshops for parents and carers, helping families to support learning at home and strengthening the school community.
This report is a testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at St Luke’s. Your dedication ensures that every child doesn’t just achieve, but thrives.
We are incredibly proud to have St Luke’s as part of our PDET family. Well done!
