Peterborough Diocese Board of Education (DBE) has a long and successful record of supporting 103 church schools. The Diocese covers Rutland, Northamptonshire and part of Peterborough. We welcomed our first school, St Andrew’s in Kettering, into PDET on 1 May 2014.
Two months later, we marked the launch of PDET with our first four schools through a celebration at the cathedral.
More than 50% of the schools in the Diocese are now in Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) or are a Stand Alone Academy. PDET is the largest MAT in the Diocese and was created by the DBE in 2013 as “the natural home” for church schools wanting to join a MAT.
Our growth has continued and we remain locally based; we seek to serve the communities that lie within the geographical area of Peterborough Diocese.
