PDET employs over 900 people across its 31 academies and Northampton central office. It is our intention to grow further in the next two years.

Although PDET is a large multi academy trust those of us in the central team pride ourselves on knowing our academies and our employees well.

Not all our employees describe themselves as regular church attenders, but feel that they are able to subscribe to the values that we consider important to academies / schools that set out to achieve outstanding education within a distinctly Christian ethos. It is a commonly used phrase to say, “our employees are our greatest asset” however, we feel that in our case it goes beyond just words. We support our employees in many different ways.

PDET has developed cluster working through a formal programme, which is facilitating our academies / schools and their employees to work together on all kinds of curriculum and educational developments. We regard this as a strength of our Trust.

We hope that you are interested in finding out more about joining our MAT and contributing to the education of our pupils.

Please find detailed below our current vacancies.

Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) is a Multi Academy Trust that was created in 2014 to allow Church of England Schools to become academies and retain their link to the Diocese of Peterborough. It is currently made up of 31 academies (primarily in Northamptonshire) and we have more than 5,600 pupils.

Our schools seek to serve their local communities; they are inclusive welcoming children of all faiths and none. We believe that children deserve the very best education and staff deserve support to deliver this.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Officer to join a great team at Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) to work along side the HR Manager with trust wide HR activities and to support the implementation and on-going development of our new HR system.

We are looking for a highly motived and skilled individual who not only has a passion for HR but also the systems that support it. HR experience is essential and you will be extremely proficient in the use of IT systems and the MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

We are a growing Trust, currently employing just over 900 people. You must support change and critically be keen to learn more and develop your own HR expertise.

You will need to build strong working relationships with our 31 academies. As a Trust we have adopted a policy of working from home during this pandemic, which is likely to continue, therefore it is critical that you are a self-starter and able work independently from home whilst continuing to provide a professional service, with great attention to detail and to strict deadlines.

If you think this is a role that you would enjoy then we would love to hear from you.
